Draft updated September 18, 2026

Who this policy covers

This policy draft covers the Your Website People marketing website, its inquiry form, and email conversations with us. It does not automatically cover the websites we build for customers, their visitors, or project-specific data processing.

The legal operator, processing locations, and retention arrangements still need to be finalized. The contact address and providers described below reflect the current setup.

Information handled by this website

  • Inquiry details: business name and email address, plus an optional website address and message. Emailing us directly also provides your message, sender details, and anything you choose to attach.
  • Connection information: hosting and network providers handle information needed to serve and protect the website, including connection addresses, request URLs, and technical request logs.
  • Abuse prevention and retries: the application temporarily holds connection-based submission counts and expiry markers in server memory. For email delivery, it also holds a random submission reference, a hash of the inquiry fields, and the delivery outcome to reduce duplicate sends.

This marketing website does not offer accounts, file uploads through the form, payment collection, or a mailing-list signup. Please do not send passwords, payment details, or sensitive personal records in an inquiry.

How the inquiry form works

The form checks the server’s availability before enabling submissions. If delivery is unavailable, the form stays disabled and provides a direct email alternative.

When live delivery is enabled, your form details go to the website’s server for validation and are sent to our inbox through Fastmail. In development preview mode, a notice appears before submission: the server validates the details but does not email them to the team or save them as an inquiry.

If a send fails or delivery cannot be confirmed, your entered details stay in the page. Retrying unchanged details reuses the same submission reference. Duplicate protection is temporary and can end when a server process restarts or a record expires; it cannot guarantee that every retry avoids a duplicate. The browser does not put your inquiry or submission reference in local storage.

Emailing us and receiving a reply

We use inquiry details to respond, discuss your website, and keep a record of the conversation. When the form is enabled, the server sends the business name, email address, optional website and message, and submission reference through Fastmail to hello@yourwebsitepeople.com. Your supplied email address is used as the reply address. The application does not include your connection address in the email.

You can also email us directly whether or not the form is enabled. Fastmail handles our incoming and outgoing email. An inquiry does not subscribe you to a mailing list or start a paid plan.

Cookies, analytics, and outside content

The application sets no cookies and uses no local storage, advertising pixels, or session-recording tools. Fonts and displayed project screenshots are served by this website rather than embedded from the source sites. Cloudflare Web Analytics is disabled.

Hosting, security, and email providers process operational information separately from website analytics. If optional tracking is added, this policy and any choices required for that setup must be updated before it is activated.

Links to other websites take you to those websites, where their own policies apply. A mailto link opens your email application; its provider handles the message you choose to send.

Providers and people who handle information

  • Ready: hosts the website application and processes requests sent to its server.
  • Cloudflare: provides DNS, HTTPS website delivery, and the Worker that forwards website requests to Ready. Worker invocation logs are enabled and include request metadata such as URLs.
  • Fastmail: handles our business email, including inquiry notifications and replies.

The people responding to your inquiry can access the information needed to help you. The providers’ processing locations, account access arrangements, and retention settings still need to be documented in the final policy. Information may also need to be disclosed where required by applicable law.

The application does not sell inquiry information, send it to advertising platforms, or send form contents to an AI model. Any use of customer material in AI-assisted project work needs a separately agreed workflow and appropriate disclosures.

Retention and security

The website application does not save inquiry contents to a database or file. It processes them in memory to validate and send the inquiry, and temporarily keeps the limited abuse-prevention and retry records described above. Email messages and conversations are retained in our Fastmail account; hosting logs, Cloudflare logs, email provider records, and backups are separate.

Retention periods and the deletion process for these records have not yet been finalized. This draft does not promise an unverified deletion deadline. You can contact us about a message or record using the address below.

The public website uses HTTPS, and form notifications use an encrypted connection to Fastmail. The application validates submissions and limits repeated requests. No internet service can promise absolute security.

Questions and your choices

For questions about information you provide, or to ask about access, correction, or deletion, contact hello@yourwebsitepeople.com.

Available rights and any required response periods depend on where you are and which laws apply. We may need enough information to verify a request and identify the relevant record. The final policy should reflect the service’s actual locations and audience.

Changes to this policy

We show the date of this policy and will explain meaningful changes to how information is handled. The draft still needs the final legal operator, processing locations, retention rules, and applicable legal details before it becomes an effective policy.
